Deliveroo reveals Cheltenham’s top takeaways

As Deliveroo celebrates its seventh birthday in Cheltenham, it has revealed the town's favourite takeaways.

New data from the delivery service shows that Cheltonians' top choice is a bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys.

This is followed by the GDK boss box doner kebab from German Doner Kebab, salt and pepper squid from Giggling Squid, a boneless banquet from KFC and large cod and chips from Charles Takeaway.

Saturday at 7:15pm is the most popular time for people in Cheltenham to order Deliveroo.

Since its launch in the town seven years ago, more than 200 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 350 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver the food.

Sixty per cent of Deliveroo's restaurant partners are local independent restaurants.

Ben Lacey, regional director for the UK North, said: "Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Cheltenham over the past seven years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue and riders have the opportunity to choose flexible work."
