Cyclists in Cotswolds challenge to help cancer charity

A building society project manager is joining a five-strong cycle team in the Cotswolds to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Stephen Shrigley from Cirencester and four other cyclists hope to conquer 50 villages in one day in the Tour De Cotswolds on Saturday, July 28.

A project manager at Nationwide Building Society in Swindon, he sadly lost his father to cancer far too early in his life and his mother is in remission from the disease. He was also moved by the experiences of many friends and wider family fighting cancer.

Stephen decided to design a cycling fundraising challenge which would not only be a physical test for him and the four others he has signed up but also offer the opportunity for others to explore the beauty and variation of the Cotswolds on a bike.

You can sponsor this event by texting CVOD50 with the amount to 70070 or visit Stephen's page @justgiving.com. If you'd like a copy of the circular route, email CVOD50@hotmail.com
