Cult burger restaurant announces Cheltenham opening date

Cult burger brand, The Beefy Boys, has unveiled its brand-new Cheltenham restaurant.

And it has announced it will officially open for business on Saturday February 25.

The Hereford burger restaurant is opening in the former Bill's restaurant on Regent's Street, armed with a mouth-watering menu of dirty American-style burgers and loaded fries, including delicious veggie options, indulgent sides, cocktails and its signature hard shakes - alcoholic milkshakes!

The Beefy Boys has also announced that the bar will feature an exclusive offering from Gloucestershire craft-beer heroes, Deya Brewery. Ale Communications is a crisp session ale, perfect for pairing with a dirty burger, and will not be available anywhere else.

The Beefy Boys, which was created in 2011 by a quartet of burger-loving childhood friends, launched its flagship restaurant in The Old Market in Hereford in 2016, having come second place in the World's Best Burger competition at the World Food Championship in Las Vegas the previous year.

Its second restaurant, in Shrewsbury, followed in 2021. The Cheltenham premises will be The Beefy Boys' third restaurant, alongside its signature food van, which regularly visits special events and locations across the region.

The Cheltenham restaurant, which has been transformed over the past month to emulate the burger-lovers' paradise that The Beefy Boys' fans will know and love, will provide seating for 160 covers, and features a brand-new downstairs bar, along with a large-scale burger mural and event space upstairs.

It promises a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal between friends, after-work socialising or a romantic dinner for two. There is also a kids' menu for little ones, making it a great dining spot for families.

Anthony 'Murf' Murphy, co-founder, said: "The Beefy Boys are so excited to finally be opening a site in Gloucestershire, after having regularly brought our food truck to various locations in the county. This means that there is now a permanent place for local burger fans to come and get their Beefy Boys fix.

"We want to create a vibrant and relaxed environment for people of all ages to socialise and celebrate in the town centre. We can't wait to get open and start smashing patties for the people of Gloucestershire."

If you can't wait until February 25 to get a fix of The Beefy Boys, the restaurant has plans for a soft launch from now until 24 February.

They are looking for fearless food lovers to test out the new branch before its official launch. Anyone up for the task will get 25% off their food bill, in exchange for feedback on their experience.
