County hair and beauty business expands

One of Gloucestershire's longest-established hair and beauty businesses is to open its first salon outside the county.

Blushes Hair & Beauty will this summer launch a new outlet in Worcester in the city's popular New Street retail area.

It will become the third salon in Blushes Hair & Beauty's roster which also includes salons in Cheltenham and Nailsworth.

"We've been looking for the perfect location to champion our expansion into a brand-new county for a while now and Worcester has always been firmly on our radar, given its thriving retail offering and vibrant culture scene," explained Dom Blake, marketing director of Blushes Hair & Beauty.

Seating up to 18 clients at any one time, the salon will also be air-conditioned and will serve alcohol to clients who fancy a glass of bubbly or beer during their treatment. A menu of hot and soft drinks will also be available on a complimentary basis to all clients visiting the salon.

Established over 30 years ago, Blushes Hair & Beauty has won regional and national awards for both its  Cheltenham and Nailsworth salons.

It underwent changes to the organisation's structure in 2017 which saw it step away from its Gloucester and Cirencester premises. Blushes is led by father and son team Darrell and Dom Blake.
