County engineering company appoints new director

A Gloucestershire based thermal engineering company has announced the appointment of a new director.

John Potts joins the board of Western Thermal Ltd which has its head office at Springfield Business Centre at Stroudwater Business Park, Stonehouse.

Mr Potts has over 25 years of management and leadership role at Hertal and over the course of his career has worked extensively across national and international markets, including in Europe, the Middle East, and Central, East and South Asia.

His working knowledge covers a variety of projects involving piping, mechanical, thermal insulation, scaffolding/access, blasting and coatings, asbestos management and refractory disciplines. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in business acquisitions and mergers.

Mr Suresh Lodha, the chairman of Western Thermal Ltd, said: "Here at Western Thermal, we are always look at ways to take the company forward and to the next level. We seek individuals who are forward thinking, innovate, driven and passionate about the industry and John ticked all of those boxes. Western Thermal Ltd was formed in 1985 to provide thermal insulation to the building services and industrial sectors.

The company has secured a number of high-profile contracts in the field of construction, pipe fabrication, mechanical and other major areas of operations this year. This includes the Wardian residential project in London's Canary Wharf, Heathrow Terminal 5, Wembley Stadium, Victoria Station, Battersea Power Station residential development and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
