Cotswold supermarket is first to tell us where our food is from

Knowing where your food has come from will no longer be a mystery to customers of a Cotswolds supermarket.
The Midcounties Co-operative in Bourton-on-the-Water is making it mandatory for its suppliers to prove and publish where they source their ingredients.
The retailer currently has 175 suppliers across its entire 'Best of our Counties' range, the vast majority of whom have already passed or are in the process of passing a supply chain audit proving where their product is sourced.
Midcounties Co-operative are working alongside Happerley, an organisation who are making food supply chains from producer to customer transparent.
Phil Ponsonby CEO of Midcounties Co-operative said: "Transparency is a core value of ours and we are delighted to have supported Happerley from the start. We are 100 per cent committed to it."
On the first day of the scheme, Midcounties Co-operative welcomed TV presenter, author and farmer Adam Henson to their Bourton store.
Henson, who owns the Cotswold Farm Park was joined by Matthew Rymer, CEO of Happerley and Peter Jinman, chairman of Happerley's advisory board.
A number of food and drink producers were also on hand to see the scheme being launched.
Rymer, the founder of Happerley, added: "Food and drink have become one of the most-opaque industries where disingenuous branding, marketing and selective truths disconnect consumers from the truth they deserve.
"It is the hope of our board that Happerley will now become the credible and trusted currency of truth across the entire industry."
