Radio Winchcombe, a volunteer run community radio station is raising funds to keep it running. Instead of doing the usual fundraising activity of running a marathon, Martin Shurmer, a presenter on the station is holding a music marathon for 26.2 hours.

It starts at 09.48am on Saturday 31st July and ends at midday on Sunday 1st August.

Radio Winchcombe tries to fundraise £9,000 each year to keep its radio station running.

The fundraiser will involve over 24 hours of music, request slots, dedications and guest presenters. They are asking businesses to get involved and sponsor each hour of the marathon. Bespoke sponsorship packages are available.
