Cotswold Outdoor stores set to close

Cotswold Outdoor is set to close a significant number of stores, with the potential for hundred of redundancies.

The Wiltshire-based outdoor retailer, which has a store at Cotswold Water Park, is due to appoint advisers to work on a shop closure plan, as reported by Retail Gazette.

It is not yet known how many of the company's 120 stores are set to close.

The news comes in stark contrast to the recent success of outdoor retail rival, Mountain Warehouse.
