Cotswold business park development could create 60-plus jobs

Sixty six new jobs could be created after planners approved a development for six new business units and two new restaurant, takeaway or coffee shops in Cirencester.
London-based Pan Albion LLP, owners of the Baylis Vauxhall garage site, have won approval for their development plans.
Cotswold District Council previously approved the planning application, but the company has come back with some amendments to the scheme for the Love Lane site and they too have now been rubber stamped.
"The amendments subject of this application submission are a result of the detailed design process and will not have a material impact upon neighbouring properties," said Henry Courtier, an associate of the company's agent, Pegasus Group, in a letter to Cotswold District Council to accompany the amendments.
"Whilst it is acknowledged that the car parking provision exceeds Cotswold District Council, given the nature of the proposed units there is anticipated to be a reliance upon vehicles and the addition and placement of the three car parking spaces will not interrupt servicing or detrimentally impact upon highway safety."

An additional 22 car parking spaces will take the total figure to 45, plus two disabled, 16 additional cycle and four motorcycle spaces.
According to the plans the 0.56 hectare Midland Road, Love Lane Industrial Estate site would see an additional total floor space of 1,031.1 square metres, taking its total to 3,179.6 square metres.
Adam Vines, from the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce, said: "From the point of view of the chamber of commerce we welcome investment in Love Lane. We realise the business estate is separate from the town centre, but we would welcome any development that helps the town.
"I think we would like to ideally see independent businesses going into the units."
