Cotswold brand scoops four medals at european awards

Cirencester-based ANI Skincare has won a Gold Medal and three Silver Medals at the eleventh annual Free From Skincare Awards.

The Europe-wide awards were founded to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products that are 'free from' many of the allergens, preservatives, additives, and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, and ethical, environmental, and health concerns.

The Gold Medal was awarded in the 'Toners, Waters & Spritzes' category for the ANI Skincare Hydrating Facial Toner. Judges described it as: "Mist is so light and fine and feels wonderful on my face. It's revitalising. It makes me feel almost euphoric. It's such a lovely hydrating toner that is SO feminine. Perfection."

The Silver Medals were awarded for ANI Skincare Renewal Body Polish in the 'Body Care (Rinse Off)' category, ANI Skincare Facial Cleanser in the 'Face Care (Rinse Off)' category, and 'Best Free From Brand Award'.

Joanna Walker, founder of ANI Skincare said: "I'm overjoyed with this result."

"It's the first time we have been entered in an industry rewards and to come away with such a great result and acknowledges all our kind natural skincare products and the work we have put in."

The announcements were made online on Tuesday, July 19, following a long judging process which included a rigorous month-long assessment by four experienced cosmetic testers, concluding with round-table expert judging sessions, held in June 2022.

ANI Skincare was founded after Joanna started making skincare products as Christmas gifts in 2012. When people asked to replenish their gifts, she stepped up production and took a stall in Cirencester's charter market. Several seasonal pop-up shops followed accompanied by a successful online trade shipping across Europe, the US and Australasia. 12 months ago, ANI Skincare opened a shop in Stable Yard off Black Jack Street in Cirencester.
