Costa closing in King's Walk, but it will be back and better in 10 days

Costa Coffee has nine branches in Glocuester

Don't panic: Costa is closing its King's Walk branch - but only for 10 days.

Latte-guzzlers and mocha-lovers are being told that they will love the refurbished coffee shop that will come in its place.

The King's Walk branch will pour its last pre-refurbishment cup on Friday, February 15 with the new-look store set to open on Thursday, February 28.

Peter White, centre manager for King's Walk Gloucester said: "It's a great investment from Costa into the centre.

"They have been there for five years already and I am looking forward to seeing the new look."

It will fit in nicely with the wider regeneration of the centre which will be progressing in the next few months."

The King's Walk refurbishment comes as part of the popular chain's ongoing works to improve stores up and down the country.

There will be new facilities and furniture with staff taking to social media to speak of their excitement about the plans.

And if you're in need of your caffeine fix in the meantime, you haven't got far to go.

Costa has nine other Gloucester branches and a further 22 stores with Costa Express machines.

The closest to the King's Walk branch is a whole five-minute walk away - a whole 0.2 of a mile - on Southgate Street.
