Update #9008 - 08.35 Latest coronavirus figures for the UK and Gloucestershire
The latest data for coronavirus cases and deaths of patients with COVID-19 was released yesterday (January 27) by the Government's department of health and social care and NHS England.
Updated UK figures show the total number of deaths within 28 days of positive test rose to 155,040 - which includes those in care homes, hospitals and in the community.
This is an increase of 338 on the previous day's figures.
Across the UK, 96,871 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 16,245,474 since the outbreak began.
But on a more positive note, 52,281,873 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 26, 48,284,685 have received their second dose and 37,104,942 have received their booster/third dose.
Latest Public Health England figures show that the total number of cases within the county since the start of the pandemic rose to 126,045, as of Thursday afternoon.
The total number of deaths in Gloucestershire within 28 days of a positive test increased to 1,095.
Total cases, updated for the latest 24-hour period, are split across the following regions:
Gloucester - 29,647 cases (increase of 270)
Cheltenham - 23,845 cases (increase of 215)
Stroud - 22,565 cases (increase of 208)

The latest data for coronavirus cases and deaths of patients with COVID-19 was released yesterday (January 26) by the Government's department of health and social care and NHS England.
Updated UK figures show the total number of deaths within 28 days of positive test rose to 154,702 - which includes those in care homes, hospitals and in the community.
This is an increase of 346 on the previous day's figures.
Across the UK, 102,292 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24-hour period and 16,149,319 since the outbreak began.
But on a more positive note, 52,265,883 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of January 25, 48,252,782 have received their second dose and 37,048,033 have received their booster/third dose.
Latest Public Health England figures show that the total number of cases within the county since the start of the pandemic rose to 124,894, as of Wednesday afternoon.
The total number of deaths in Gloucestershire within 28 days of a positive test increased to 1,094.
