Company's Christmas raffle set to boost Pied Piper Appeal

Freemans Event Partners and The Pied Piper Appeal are no strangers to each other.

For a number of years now the Gloucestershire-based events company and the leading charity for children and the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital have worked together on bigger and better projects each year, to raise much-needed funds for the children's wards and the charity's work in the county.

If it runs, flies or drives there seems to have been some way for this partnership to find a way of turning it into a charitable donation, from cake stalls to full blown banquets and this year, a Christmas Raffle with prizes ranging from a holiday in New York to FA Cup Final hospitality.

Freemans Event Partners, based at Quedgeley, is famous for its work around the UK at leading sporting events.

John Freeman said: "The Pied Piper Appeal just makes sense for us. It's a truly Gloucester charity and strikes a chord with all the families that work for us and with us.

"Best of all, 100 per cent of what is raised goes straight into the pot to be spent locally, with any admin fees being supported entirely separately. That idea appeals to us and has made us enthusiastic supporters of the Pied Piper for many years."

The result for this partnership over the years has meant the provision of items, such as a brand new children's scanner, with a staggering price tag of £79,000 which have inspired the Freeman Events Company team.

John Freeman and his staff saw this as a very real and worthwhile project, and they threw themselves into fundraising with a series of events, including non-stop Cycling to Paris, Cotswold Way running and now the final push with things like car washing, cake sales and a monster Christmas Raffle.

John said: "A big thank you must go to all our staff for their passion, endeavour and achievement. Because we are a local business, it is important to us to support our community. And we are delighted to have raised a record amount for such a wonderful cause.

Keeping it local has paid off for both the Pied Piper and its local charity partners. And with the current state of the nation, there is a lot to be said for supporting our own communities and neighbours. Fund raising is still continuing with the upcoming festive raffle which closes on December 14th, with the draw at Freeman's office in Gloucester on December 16th.

The company expressed its thanks to all its partners who have donated so generously to the raffle.

As well as a three-day holiday to New York, prizes include two Emirates FA Cup Final tickets with hospitality, a family ticket to the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience and much more!
