CityFibre crowns Blackstar Solutions as Gloucester’s City Champion

Independent full fibre platform CityFibre has appointed Blackstar Solutions as a City Champion for Gloucester.

For Blackstar, the agreement is said to be an opportunity to offer the unrivalled speed, reliability, and value of CityFibre's full fibre to its own customers whilst providing the best possible internet 'backbone' for the wider selection of cloud based technologies to its clients.

Andrew Wilson, head of Wholesale for CityFibre, said: "We are pleased to welcome Blackstar Solutions as City Champion. We have made significant investments to bring full fibre to Gloucester and want to do everything we can to give businesses the opportunity to take advantage.

"With their strong reputation and presence in the region, Blackstar Solutions is ideally-placed to help us reach our goals and make use of CityFibre's full fibre infrastructure to deliver the bandwidth and performance that companies need to compete effectively."

Elliot Mace, sales director at Blackstar added: "Blackstar's mission is all about making sure that companies have the right technology in place for their business to thrive. A massive part of this is internet connectivity and we always encourage our clients to go for the best connections possible. CityFibre offers a completely different solution to traditional leased lines and our clients love the combination of speed, flexibility, reliability, and competitive pricing. CityFibre's network is totally separate from other providers and even BT exchanges, so we are now able to offer a full resilience option over completely separate fibre networks.

"We were delighted that CityFibre approached us to become a City Champion for Gloucester as a result of our proven capability to listen, innovate and deliver and we intend to make sure that we make the most of this exciting partnership for CityFibre, Blackstar, and all businesses in Gloucester."

In the next few months, Blackstar Solutions and CityFibre will be working together to inform businesses in Gloucester of the potential full fibre brings to them, and to provide professional deployment, activation, and support services to customers.
