Cirencester property manager to be sentenced for fraud

A Cirencester property manager is to be sentenced by a Crown Court judge at the end of this month after admitting fraud against a woman who employed her services.

Sarah Walsh, aged 34, of Stratton Heights, Cirencester, indicated to Cheltenham Magistrates last week that she would plead guilty to fraud by abuse of position as a property manager between October 1, 2021, and February 28, 2023.

The charge against her is that while in a position in which she was expected to safeguard the financial interests of Elizabeth Cannon she dishonestly abused that position with intent to make a financial gain for herself.

The magistrates committed her to Gloucester Crown Court for sentence on November 30 and granted her unconditional bail till that date.
