The oldest polo club in the UK has appointed a new chief executive officer.

The board of Cirencester Park Polo Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hayden-Kellard as its new CEO.

Mr Hayden-Kellard has broad and extensive experience in the polo industry, spanning over 30 years, including playing as a professional for 23 years.

Beyond polo itself, his insights include business development strategy, sales & marketing, and project and asset management. He has been responsible for overall business delivery in management, executive, and board roles as well as time spent serving in the British Army.

From 2003 to 2010 Mr Hayden-Kellard was involved in the management of the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, running his polo school, the largest in the country, as head coach for nine years.

From 2010 to 2012 he went on to manage a portfolio of HNW private clients out of Guards Polo Club, organising all their polo training and tournaments. Up until this year, he continued to play at Guards as a pro.

From 2012, Mr Hayden-Kellard took up position as commercial director at Ham Polo Club to drive the business through a period of commercial expansion.

In his spare time, Mr Hayden-Kellard runs a private property portfolio and enjoys flying helicopters. He lives in Berkshire with his wife and working pointer, Coco.

Cirencester Park Polo Club was founded in 1894 and is located in the beautiful historic Cirencester Park on the Bathurst Estate.

The Ivy Lodge polo ground was one of the two first grounds laid out and is now world famous as it has played host to many of the most important polo tournaments throughout history.

The Polo Club has had royalty play and attend polo at the grounds throughout history, including The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex. The club was also chosen as the venue for the first public outings for young Princes and Princesses including both Princes William and Harry and Prince George.

Set over approximately 300 acres of stunning parkland, and at the heart of the 15,000 acre Bathurst Estate's, members and visitors today continue to enjoy the quintessential English polo experience throughout the season.
