Cirencester company broadens portfolio with luxury Cotswolds waterside retreat

Cirencester-based property management firm Barnsdales is the new managing agent of Waters Edge luxury waterside holiday homes based in the Cotswolds.

The 27-home development of three and four-bedroom properties near Cerney Wick is set around the 28-acre Lake 10 in the Cotswold Water Park.

Barnsdales' appointment comes on the back of several high-profile local appointments for the firm.

Louise Ballinger, residential block manager at Barnsdales, said: "This is a fantastic moment for Barnsdales and I'm delighted that we've been chosen as the property managers of this distinguished development. We'll be responsible for the communal areas of Waters Edge.

"Our initial focus will be on ensuring that we build trust among residents and visitors."

Situated among 180 lakes spread across 42 square miles, the five-star rated cottages have a range of amenities, including a decking area which creates the illusion of being suspended over the water's edge.

There are a further 15 plots up for sale which would bring the total number of lodges on the site to 42, consisting of an eclectic mixture of traditional and cutting-edge contemporary builds.

Barnsdales established its office in Cirencester in 2018 with the acquisition of David Allberry & Company, a property consultancy practice which began in 1979. Since then, the consultancy has grown, managing a wide range of properties across the region.

Jason Barnsdale, managing director of Barnsdales, said: "This is a great example of how we're expanding our presence in the region. Our Cirencester office has been growing well over the past couple of years, and that's all down to the hard work and experience of the team on the ground."
