Circus grand finale set to benefit charity

All proceeds from the closing show of Giffords Circus's 2017 summer tour will go to charity.

The Gloucestershire-based circus will donate all ticket sales from its 5.30pm performance on Sunday, September 24, at the circus's headquarters at Fennells Farm, Lypiatt, Stroud, to the Ebony Horse Club charity based in Brixton, London.

Established in 2000 by Nell and Toti Gifford, Giffords Circus tours around the Cotswolds and beyond during the summer months and is renowned for its eclectic circus theatre fusion style.

Ebony Horse Club is in the heart of Brixton - one of the most disadvantaged inner city neighbourhoods in the country.

Giffords Circus co-founder Nell Gifford said: "I grew up with horses and have always enjoyed their companionship in my life.

"It is wonderful to witness the pure joy that our horses bring to people and it seems fitting to choose a charity that share our values.

"The work that Ebony Horse Club undertakes makes a real difference to young people's lives and we are proud to support that."

Tickets for the final show are priced at £27 for adults and £17 for children aged 3 to 14; under 3s go free if sitting on a lap. This includes a hog roast for which donations can be made.

To book tickets for the remaining tour dates and the final charity performance, visit www.giffordscircus.com  or call the box office on 0845 459 7469.
