Cheltenham Town celebrates over £5.5m in social value impact

Cheltenham Town Community Trust made over £5.5m impact in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas during the 2023/2024 season.

Following the recent EFL Measuring the Impact of Clubs in the Community interim report, the Trust delivered a remarkable total social value of £5,509,047. This means for every £1 of income, the Trust invests £14 in projects supporting the local community.

This achievement highlights the Trust's commitment to supporting local residents and addressing community needs through innovative programmes and initiatives.

The breakdown of the Trust's impact includes:

• Physical health: £349,677

• Mental health: £3,895,467

• Social impact: £725,629

• Education and employability: £538,274

These figures reflect the lives improved, opportunities created and support provided to individuals and families throughout the Cheltenham area.

Simon Perruzza, chief executive for Cheltenham Town Community Trust, said: "We are so proud to deliver programmes that make a real difference right here in Cheltenham. From promoting better mental health to supporting education and creating social connections, our work is rooted in helping local people thrive.

"This success is a reflection of our community's collective spirit, and we couldn't achieve it without our partners and supporters."

As the official charitable arm of Cheltenham Town Football Club, Cheltenham Town Community Trust delivers a wide range of initiatives focused on health, education and social inclusion to benefit communities in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.

In 2025, the Trust aims to grow its business to expand its services and reach even more residents in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. The organisation is actively seeking partnerships with local businesses and organisations to strengthen its offerings and build on the success of its current programmes.
