Cheltenham solicitor firm announces growth

Willans, the Gloucestershire-based solicitors that was established in 1947 has announced growth, with the arrival of three new lawyers.

Sarah Richardson has joined as a senior associate solicitor working with partners Robin Beckley and Adam Hale in the firm's Chambers-rated agriculture & estates team. She is a member of the Country Land and Business Association and Agricultural Law Association and brings over five years' experience in advising farmers, landowners, landed estates, trustees and farm businesses.

Legal 500-rated employment law and business immigration team has welcomed solicitor Hayley Ainsworth who has joined the firm after a stint in an in-house HR role. She qualified with a Bristol-headquartered heavyweight firm and will support partner Matthew Clayton and senior associate solicitor Jenny Hawrot on a wide range of matters from tribunal proceedings to operational advice on employee relations issues.

Willans' highly regarded residential property team has welcomed back licensed conveyancer Tina Caster to the 12 lawyer-strong team. Tina previously worked in the team for around 17 years so is a well-known face at the firm. She helps people with all sorts of conveyancing but tends to predominately handle freehold and leasehold property sales and purchases.

The three appointments take the company headcount to around 90 people with 35 new joiners since the beginning of 2020.

Bridget Redmond, managing partner, commented: "It's a pleasure to welcome Sarah and Hayley to Willans and to have Tina return to us. Like many, we are experiencing an increased need for legal services across many of our teams and in this period of steady growth we are delighted to attract such talented, approachable and friendly lawyers."
