Cheltenham restaurant closes 'with a heavy heart'

A popular Cheltenham steakhouse has closed its doors after 10 years trading in the town.
The Ox at Cambray Place has permanently shut and is the latest victim of the cost of living crisis.

A statement on The Ox's website says: "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that The Ox Cheltenham has now closed its doors.
"This decision has not been taken lightly. The end of our lease, combined with the challenging economic climate, has made it increasingly difficult to continue trading and ultimately led us to this outcome.
"For the past 10 years, The Ox Cheltenham has been more than just a restaurant. It has been a place where friends and families gathered, where memories were made, and where our team poured their passion and dedication into every service.
"We are immensely proud of what we've built together and deeply grateful for the incredible support of our loyal customers and the Cheltenham community throughout this journey."
The Ox's sister restaurant in Bristol remains open for business, where all gift vouchers will be honoured.
