Update on the multiple stabbing in Gloucester

Detectives investigating the multiple stabbing in Gloucester were in court themselves this morning.
The officers were successful in their plea to be granted a custody extension for the man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday evening.
Detectives attended Cheltenham Magistrates' Court this morning, Wednesday 28 August, and obtained the warrant for further extension of 36 hours.
This is due to expire tomorrow evening (Thursday, August 29).
The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on Monday evening by armed police in connection with a stabbing on Barton Street, Gloucester where two people suffered injuries.
A man in his 30s who suffered serious injuries remains in hospital in a critical, but stable condition.
The second man required hospital treatment for an injury to his arm and has since been discharged from hospital.
