Cheltenham design company reveals £0.5million makeover

A Gloucestershire company which helps people upgrade their homes has completed its own makeover project.

Obsidian Interiors has relaunched its flagship Cheltenham showroom and design house following a £0.5million refurbishment.

Opened in 2001, the company is owned by 170-year-old family business George Bence & Sons and specialises in creating bespoke kitchens, and bathroom and bedroom renovations.

The showroom on Fairview Road was reopened this week at a special event where guests from acorss the Gloucestershire business community raised glasses of bubbles to toast the company's success.

Cllr Paul Baker, mayor of Cheltenham, and interiors expert and presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, both performed ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the revamped space.

It has been transformed into the UK's "newest, and most creative, design house" where customers can explore a range of design ideas and appliances.
