Kohler Mira operate from two sites in Gloucestershire; their Mira Showers factory site on Cromwell Road in Cheltenham and from their Corinium Road site in Gloucester.

The company also has an operation at Meltonwest Business Park near Hull and is now set to move into a new distribution centre at the new Worcester Six Business Park, close to the M5 motorway.

The development will consist of a 158,000sq ft unit that is set to be handed over to the company later in 2019, with 100,000 sq ft of office space to be constructed at a later date.

Mira Showers can trace its roots back to 1921 as Walker Crossweller & Co. They moved to their current base in Whaddon, Cheltenham in 1937.

US giant Kohler took over the company in 2001 and make showers, bathroom and plumbing products as well as kitchen equipment.

They employ more than 35,000 people worldwide and the new distribution centre is their latest investment in its UK operation.

Wayner Walker, vice president of manufacturing global faucets at Kohler Mira said: This purpose-built facility reflects both our continued investment in the UK and our commitment to sustainability and the environment.

"The new development is a result of both an increase in customer demand and the need to meet future business requirements, and makes us more agile and flexible to consumer needs."
