Firewalkers host red-hot charity evening in Stonehouse

Residents in Stroud and Stonehouse are invited to participate in the Stroud Fire Walk, which will see dozens of brave supporters walking over burning hot coals to raise money for three local charities, at Stonehouse Court Hotel on Friday 29 September.

Kerri Tyler of Stroud Valleys Project (SVP) said: "We'll have games and activities for youngsters, our amazing human fruit machine, and a quiz for all the family,"

"A roving face-painter will be transforming people into human works of art, and we'll have UkeStroud playing a few hot numbers to welcome people to the event."

Stonehouse Court Hotel is also offering a 15% discount on evening meals to supporters of fire walkers, so people are encouraged to come and make a night of it.

The fire walkers have chosen to raise funds for either Stroud Valley Projects (care for the local environment), The Door which helps young people or Allsorts Gloucestershire which supports children with additional needs. The event is being run by Blaze, the country's leading fire walk company.

Kerri added: "Between ourselves, The Door and Allsorts, we support so many different people in our area."

"Stroud Fire Walk promises to be a brilliant evening. The more people that come, the more money we can raise to help us carry on our vital work with our communities across our local area."

Supporters can sign up for the fire walk at stroudfirewalk.com
