The "passion and commitment" of its employees has seen an opticians with a Cheltenham base crowned as one of the best in the country.

Chapmans Opticians, who have one of their branches in the Regent Arcade was named 'Bespoke Practice of the Year' at an award ceremony for UK Opticians held in Abu Dhabi.

The family-run practice who have branches across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands beat competition from across the country to take the award.

Managing director Andy Chapman said that the award was a result of the efforts of the company's outstanding staff.

"Winning this award is a direct result of the passion, commitment, and values my team demonstrate every day," he said.

"Success has been achieved by delivering consistent high-quality work as we continually strive to give our clients a remarkable experience.
