NEW IMAGES: Change revealed for huge new logistics park in Gloucester

The company behind a massive 1.1million sqft business development at Javelin Park has rebranded.

Northampton based developer Tritax Symmetry has become Tritax Big Box Developments and integrated into the Tritax Big Box brand.

It has also changed the name of the site from Symmetry Park Gloucester to Tritax Park Gloucester.

New images have also been released of the planned logistics hub. It will be aimed at storage and distribution businesses and include ancillary offices, an energy centre, landscaping, fitness trail, amenity areas and new access.

Developers believe the scheme will create 490 jobs during construction and 1,200 direct jobs on site once complete and generate £62m annually for the local economy.

Punchline revealed in April last year  that the project had been given the nod by Stroud District Council to build four huge warehouses on the 67-acre plot.

It sits off J12 of the M5 next to the county's incinerator site and Gloucester 12- a £10m business park scheme by Warwickshire firm Graftongate.

The hybrid planning consent for Tritax Park comprises detailed consent for two buildings of 163,500 sq ft and 241,000 sq ft and outline permission for a further 700,000 sq ft of build-to-suit opportunities.

Tritax said the first two units can be delivered by mid-2025 and the site offers "excellent road connectivity and prominence for occupiers".

It is now actively advertising the design and build opportunities with joint letting agents for the scheme Colliers and BNP Paribas.

The project team includes Trinity Project Management, AJA Architects, Feasibility QS, Dunwoody M&E, Burrows Graham C&S, EDP Ecology & Landscaping & WSP Transport.
