Challenge to inflate charity fund
By Sarah Wood | 1st May 2019
An exciting 'Inflatable 5k' event is heading for Cheltenham and local medical charity Cobalt is looking for people to join their team.
The biggest inflatable event ever created is coming to Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 14th September. The course is set out with 15 gigantic obstacles, including Holy Moly, Bish Bash and The Gauntlet, promising to be a fun day out with an adrenaline rush.
All ages are welcome, however children under 16 years must be accompanied by a participating paying adult and be taller than 1.3 metres to take part.
Supporters joining 'Team Cobalt', will help contribute towards the charity's funding of a Teenage and Young Adult with Cancer Nurse for the county. This post ensures that there is support to meet the specific needs of teenage and young adult cancer patients, at this crucial stage of their lives.
Kirsty Bradbury, fundraising engagement officer, Cobalt said: "Bring your friends and family, have a fun day out and help raise some money for us. We have an overall event target of £2,000. There are many ways that you can raise money, including sponsorship for your run, a cake sale, dress blue for Cobalt day, or host a games night. Together we can achieve it!"
Those who complete the Inflatable 5k can grab some finish line bling including a medal, neck buff and pair of socks.
The charity has discounted places at £10 per person and entry can be made online at https://www.cobalthealth.co.uk/support-us/inflatable-5k-cheltenham/ or by post. Postal entry forms are available from the charity's website or by contacting the fundraising team on 01242 535922.
