A new restaurant has opened its doors at the gateway to Gloucester Quays and Docks, bringing a taste of the Caribbean to the city.
City man Marvin Anderson is the driving force behind Reece's Bar & Restaurant, which has involved a £40,000-plus investment and created 10 jobs.
An official opening night took place on Friday, December 6, which also attracted the attention of Gloucester Rugby's Charlie Sharples, who joined in the ribbon-cutting along with the former leader of the city council, Paul James.
"This is about Caribbean and seafood cuisine - we are bringing it to Gloucester Quays. We are really excited about it," said Mr Anderson.
"We specialise in Caribbean curried goat, stewed chicken and stewed beef, but we also have a little twist - we have some curried crab, squid and lobster tails."
Reece's Bar & Restaurant is at 8 Llanthony Rd, off Southgate Street.
