Busy Cheltenham road to close for most of this week

Gloucestershire County Council's highways team are closing a road in Cheltenham town centre this week to investigate and repair subsidence.

The A46 Bath Road between Montpellier Terrace and Montpellier Drive will be closed from 9.30am today (October 5), for four to five days.

With a 24/7 closure in place, it will allow workers to assess and repair subsidence on the carriageway.

A diversion is in place throughout the closure, outlined in blue below.

A tweet from GlosRoads reads: "A46 Bath Road (between Montpellier Terrace and Montpellier Drive) #Cheltenham - road closed from 0930 on 5th October for 4-5 days (24/7) to investigate and repair subsidence in the carriageway."
