Meetings got underway today (May 30) between businesses in Cheltenham and the borough council to tackle waste collections in the town.
The leader of Cheltenham BID, the organisation that represents businesses in the centre of the spa town, was due to meet with the local authority this morning.
Top of the agenda is trying to stream-line the services in the town and cut down the number of days rubbish is collected.
"Throughout the week many different businesses have their waste collected from back doors and some areas of Cheltenham can get six different companies involved," said Kevan Blackadder a director of Cheltenham Business Improvement District, speaking on BBC Radio Gloucestershire's morning show with Steve Kitchen.
"That can mean six different waste collection days in the week and we are looking for a more uniformed approach.
"Post Office Lane in Cheltenham, for example, has so many businesses backing onto it is always in a state of change with collections coming and going.
"The discussions are ongoing."
