Business event to unlock the true potential of talent in Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire College will host a business breakfast on Tuesday 3 December to cover how businesses can get the most out of talent with the levy and other available funding.

The event is free to attend, and will include breakfast, networking and a morning of discussion on the importance of professional training on the job, and how it can transform businesses.

Guest speakers include Gloucestershire County Council, Barnwood Construction and Gloucestershire College.

There are many benefits to upskilling current employees, from improving staff retention, developing employees with the skills your business needs, boosting moral and increasing customer satisfaction.

Find out how Gloucestershire College (GC) is getting the most out of the apprenticeship levy, and hear from the Council and Barnwood Construction on how they maximise their talent with professional training.

Andy Bates, chief financial officer of GC

Andy Bates, chief financial officer of GC, said: "At GC, we are proud to support Gloucestershire businesses with professional training to develop talent within their organisations and get the most from available funding.

"Apprenticeships are no longer just for school leavers; at the College we offer a number of higher level, professionally accredited training programmes that can be delivered as an apprenticeship for businesses to get the most out of funding to upskill their employees with qualifications accredited by AAT, BSC, CIPD, ILM, CMI and the CIM.

"Higher level apprenticeships are becoming popular with employers as they provide an affordable solution to develop existing staff members with professionally accredited qualifications on the job.

"I'd encourage local HR professionals and business leaders to join us to hear how we maximise the potential of the apprenticeship levy at the College, and be inspired by how organisations are getting the most out of on-the-job training.

"There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and gain expert advice from our Business Hub team."

The business breakfast will begin at 9:00am with talks beginning at 9:30 followed by a Q&A section, and ending at 11:00 am.
