Burger King to create a whopping 30 new jobs in Gloucester

A new Burger King restaurant is opening its doors at The Old Log Pond on Bristol Road in Gloucester, creating 30 new job opportunities in the local area.

Ahead of the restaurant opening on June 28, Burger King UK said it will be recruiting 25 restaurant 'crew' members, which span both front of house and kitchen roles.

The new Gloucester site at The Old Log Pond adds to an existing drive-thru Burger King at the Peel Centre on St Anns Way and plans for another at St Oswald's Retail Park.

Developers Foden Estates are managing the build of the site, which is also set to see a Costa Coffee and Greggs on the grounds of a former CEMEX depot.

Burger King added that seven managerial roles will also be created, with restaurant shift manager positions currently open for application.

Staff perks include free meals at work plus 50 per cent off food and drink for friends and family.

Jeremy Wright, people director of Burger King UK, said:"During what has been a very challenging year for many businesses, we are delighted to be creating new job and career opportunities in the area, and look forward to welcoming 30 new starters into the Burger King family, at our new Gloucester restaurant.

"We continue to be bold and ambitious in our growth plans across both locations and job opportunities."
