Bristol Road flyover to close for six weeks from today

The B4008 Bristol Road flyover in Hardwicke is set to be closed 24 hours a day in order for Gloucestershire County Council teams to complete essential maintenance.

The bridge, which is a well-used commuter route for workers on Waterwells Business Park, is due to shut to all traffic from today (January 20) until February 24.

Gloucestershire County Council said that the planned works include removing the deck and existing waterproofing, carrying out structural inspections, re-waterproofing and resurfacing.

The official diversion map for road users can be seen below.

Stagecoach bus service 64 between Stroud and Gloucester will be affected. The Stagecoach bus service 60 from Gloucester to Dursley and Thornbury will also be affected by the closure, which will instead turn left from Naas Lane Roundabout into Naas Lane.
