Boots sales soar

Health and beauty giant, Boots, saw a big rise in sales for its final quarter.

The retailer, which has stores across the county, reported a 12% increase in sales for the three months to August 31, with a 12.5% rise in revenue for the year as a whole, as reported by Retail Gazette.

It was Boots' tenth consecutive quarter of market share growth.

Sales of skin care products were up by nearly a quarter, with sales of Boots' own label skin care up by over a third and premium beauty sales up by 20%.

Boots website sales were up 24% and the number of active Advantage Card users hit its highest level in three years.
