New logistics provider for Superdry

A global provider will be taking over Superdry's logistics from July 1.

Bleckmann will run the logistics operations for the Cheltenham-based fashion brand's warehouse site in Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire, as reported by Fashion United.

More than 170 employees will transfer to Bleckmann under the same terms and conditions they are currently working under, with no redundancies planned.

The firm already provides Superdry's logistics in Europe. The deal to run the brand's logistics in the UK is a 'significant milestone', as it looks to build on its position as a leading UK logistics provider.

Julian Dunkerton, founder and CEO of Superdry, said the relationship with Bleckmann is 'a partnership that goes from strength to strength'.

Making savings on logistics is part of the brand's £35m cost efficiency programme for this year.
