Blackfinch boosts sales team with new director appointment

Gloucester Business Park-based investment specialist Blackfinch has boosted its Strategic Partnerships team with the appointment of a director of Strategic Partnerships & The City.

With more than 12 years' experience in the tax efficient market space, James Ramsay joins Blackfinch with a diverse professional background which has seen him undertake a number of different roles - most recently managing Kuber, the tax efficient investment platform where he oversaw the implementation of the new adviser support initiatives.

The role also saw him enhance the reporting, monitoring, due diligence processes and investment committee, as well as working with national networks and Adviser Support Providers to enhance their Advisers' own tax efficient advice.

Before Kuber he set up Tax Efficient Procurement Services, which was the first third-party reporting company to focus on the traditionally opaque tax efficient space - working with Private Banks and National Networks alike.

Mr Ramsay has worked with some of the most sophisticated tax efficient investment business writing firms such as Barclays Wealth, Brewin Dolphin, St James's Place, Tilney Smith & Williamson, as well as many of the other Private Banks, Wealth Managers, Networks and Nationals.

Commenting on his new role, he said: "Blackfinch is a leading firm in the provision of tax efficient products and support for advisers around those products. I am looking forward to further enhancing what we can offer in my new role as Director of Strategic Partnerships. My work in monitoring, reviewing and selecting products allows Blackfinch to go further in supporting our Advisers and their clients."

Richard Cook, founder and CEO at Blackfinch, added: "We're excited to have James join us during what is a time of significant growth for our team. He brings with him some unique skills and a wealth of experience, as well as strong connections with the Institutional world and the City."

This appointment follows a recent double hire of two senior business development managers, who joined Blackfinch earlier this year.
