Big rise in sales for White Stuff

Fashion retailer, White Stuff, has posted a rise in sales and profits.

Total sales at the retailer, which has stores in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester, were up 13.3% year on year to £151.4m, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Total retail sales rose by 18.1%, to £73.9m, with customers returning to 'all shop types', including city centres, market towns and shopping malls.

Profits more than doubled, from £2.9m to £7m, and online sales rose 7.3% to £65.8m. This was boosted by a significant rise in sales through third-party websites, including John Lewis, Next and M&S.

Wholesale sales in the UK and abroad rose by 20.6% to £11.7m and White Stuff's international business saw a 21.7% rise in sales to £13.5m.
