Sporting legends line up at testimonial charity ball

Billed as the highlight of former Gloucester Rugby player Ben Morgan's testimonial and bringing his year to a close, a star-studded cast joins Ben for an evening of glamour and glitz at the Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 4 November.

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE is still the only man to score the perfect hat trick in a World Cup Final. Mike Tindall MBE captained England and was a member of the 2003 World Cup winning squad.

Nigel Benn, the Dark Destroyer, held world championships in two weight classes, the WBO middleweight and the WBC super-middleweight. Harry Redknapp is a much-loved football manager, TV Pundit, family man and Jungle celebrity!

Completing the VIP guests is Amy Williams MBE, a British former skeleton racer and 2010 Olympic gold medallist.

Fresh back from the Rugby World Cup with many stories to tell, Jill Douglas MBE is the evening's MC.

Ben Morgan said: "We will end my testimonial year in black tie style and have a great lineup at the Centaur. I am grateful to all the legends for coming and helping to raise money for the two charities. I also want to thank the many local businesses and individuals who are supporting the Ball. I am overwhelmed by the support. With delicious food, live music, entertainment, and a unique auction, it promises to be an evening to remember."

Proceeds from the evening will go to Ben's two charities: @4ED and the Sam Polledri Foundation. The 4Ed Foundation is very close to Ben's heart following former teammate Ed Slater's MND diagnosis, and the Sam Polledri Foundation was established when Jake's brother, Sam, sadly and suddenly passed away from a cardiac arrest in 2022.

There are two legends tables still available where guests can dine with their sporting hero. A limited number of platinum tables are priced at £3000 for 10 and also include a complimentary drinks package along with a three-course meal, prime location, drinks reception, logo in the programme and signed memorabilia. Gold tables are £2000 each and offer a half-bottle win per person in addition to a welcome drink and food.

Tables are already selling well so please make contact with Ben's team here to enquire  and make reservations.
