Be prepared: road will be closed, diversions in place
10th July 2017
Motorists are being warned to expect delays while a road in Cheltenham is closed for resurfacing work.
The improvements to Bouncers Lane near Prestbury will be carried out in two phases in a bid to minimise disruption.
The first phase will be evening work between 7pm and midnight on Monday, 24 July and Tuesday, 25 July outside Cheltenham Crematorium.
The rest of the scheme will take place during the daytime from Tuesday, 25 July to Monday, 31 July, excluding the weekend. This work will be done between 7am and 5.30pm.
A diversion route will be in place via Priors Road.
Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways at Gloucestershire County Council, said: "These improvements to the road on Bouncer's Lane forms part of our ongoing investment to keep our county moving.
"We appreciate there will be a small amount of disruption, however locals and commuters will all benefit from this new surface.
"I would like to thank road users and residents in advance for their patience and cooperation while our teams carry out the work."
