Be part of December's apprenticeship champions edition of Punchline business magazine

Punchline magazine is putting together its Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Champions edition and it is calling on companies to contact them if they want to be part of it.

Last year, with the help of training providers including Gloucestershire College, Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET), the University of Gloucestershire, SGS College and Cirencester College, we put together a list of 50 companies.

These businesses were recommended because they had impressed with their commitment to apprenticeships and we also asked them how many new opportunities they might be creating throughout the coming 12 months.

The result, we like to think, was a cross-section of firms big and small and signposts to more than 260 possible apprenticeships due to go live through 2019. It was a success.

Now we are doing the same again, except this year we are also asking readers to recommend companies and organisations to us as well to ensure we give everyone a chance to be recognised.

And there is another key difference, almost 3,000 copies of the magazine - due out in December - will be delivered into secondary schools county wide.

We hope this will help ensure those looking at making the very first decisions about their future career paths post school are aware of the very best opportunities here in Gloucestershire when it comes to training.

And speaking of training, we also hope to include a feature on some of the impressive professional training schemes out there that perhaps do not fall under the apprenticeship category.

We will need to know the name of the organisation, how many apprentices it had last year, how many apprenticeships it may create in the coming year, and a line about why apprenticeships are important.
