Barratt takes part in Big Tree Plant to celebrate Jubilee

Barratt Developments staff took part in a Big Tree Plant at its Forest Grove development, Coleford — to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

To mark 70 years of the Queen's reign, the UK's largest housebuilder has planted over 1,500 trees in communities across Britain.

Steve Williams, managing director at Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes South Wales, said: "The Queen's wish for her Platinum Jubilee is to create a legacy for future generations — and we wanted to support this by planting trees at our developments across the UK.

"We hope that the trees planted at our Gloucestershire development will improve the sustainability of the local environment — thereby helping to fulfil Her Majesty's wish. It was wonderful to come together as a team to mark the Queen's Jubilee celebration."

In addition to the Big Tree Plant, the housebuilder has become a long-term partner of the Royal Horticultural Society — whose patron is the Queen.
