Bakery and tea room manager stands trial for £11k theft

A former manager at the Huffkins Bakery and tea rooms in Cheltenham Promenade will stand trial in October accused of stealing £11,438 from her employer.

Rebecca Lee, 30, of Ashlands Road, Cheltenham, pleaded not guilty at Gloucester Crown Court today to theft from Huffkins between 1st Jan 2015 and 27th Oct 2016.

Ms Lee will face a 3-4 day jury trial starting on October 8 and was unconditionally bailed by Recorder Marcus Pilgerstorfer pending trial.

Her trial had been due to start today (Monday) but had to be adjourned for legal reasons.
