Award for young golfer’s charity challenge

A young golfer has been awarded a High Sheriff of Gloucestershire Award.

Jack Douglas, junior captain at Brickhampton Court Golf Club, was given the prestigious award for his fundraising.

In June this year, he played 24 hours of golf and raised just over £4,000 for The Pied Piper Appeal.

Jack tee'd off at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and played 100 holes, completing his challenge at 1:10pm the next day.

He received his award from Julie Kent MBE, High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, at Highnam Court.
