Arrests made after knifepoint robberies across Gloucestershire

Two men have been arrested following three separate incidents of knifepoint robberies that took place across Gloucestershire on Sunday.

The arrests were made in relation to incidents that took place in Gloucester, Twyning near Tewkesbury and in Cinderford throughout the day.

All three incidents saw the men threaten staff at various retail premises before stealing money, tobacco and cigarettes.

The first incident occurred at McDonalds on Bristol Road in Gloucester at around 6.30am on Sunday morning.

It appears that the accused men then travelled to the High Street in Twyning where they threatened staff shortly before 10.15am.

A trip south west to Cinderford then saw a third incident take place just before 2.45pm at a petrol station.

The arrested men, aged 46 and 48 from Gloucester were arrested on Sunday afternoon on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody.
