Armed robbery at Cotswold store

Police are investigating an armed robbery which happened at a Cotswold store early this morning, Friday 26 January.

Officers were called to the One Stop convenience store in High Street, Chipping Campden at about 6.15am after three men had threatened staff with a gun and other weapons before making off with cash from the safe and cigarettes.

The offenders entered the store just after it opened at 6am.

One threatened a female shop assistant, but neither she nor her male colleague were physically injured.

The offenders, all described as tall and wearing dark clothing, left the shop and are believed to have made off in a car.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in Chipping Campden High Street early this morning and either saw the offenders or an unfamiliar car arrive or leave the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk  quoting incident 46 of 26/1.
