Coombes:everitt architects is pleased to announce it has helped to secure planning permission for the Kings Head in Withington.
Working alongside SF planning, they have secured a change of use and new extension to the former pub, situated between Cheltenham and Cirencester.
John Everitt, director of coombes:everitt architects, commented. "The Kings Head pub has been closed for around five years now, so we're very pleased to be able to help turn it back into a building of value.
"The design will strip away all the old 1980s extensions and renovations and will replace it with a much more sympathetic extension, delivering a high quality, characterful five-bedroom home into the heart of the community."
Positively, there was little objection from the local community. The Planning Inspectorate, who passed the scheme, agreed with the design, noting that they could see the benefit of replacing the unsympathetic elements with a more cohesive design.
The team at coombes:everitt are now looking forward to seeing the project move into the construction phase.
