New senior appointments and staff at high profile law firm

A growing demand from clients explains the appointment of three senior faces and six new lawyers, according to a Gloucestershire firm.

Its probate and trusts division has welcomed associate Hannah Wall, solicitor Laura Stone and private client executive Susie Jones, making it one of the largest private client teams in the region with 11 lawyers in total.

The firm making the headlines is Cheltenham-based Willans LLP, which has also welcomed chartered legal executive Mary Young and solicitor Dorcas Guillebaud to its residential property team.

Solicitor Charlotte Brunsdon has also joined the firm's commercial property and charities arm, which acts for a number of national clients including household names.

Bridget Redmond, managing partner, said: "We're starting the year on a high note, with new talented lawyers boosting our offering, hot on the heels of a record set of results in independent guide The Legal 500.

"Their appointments reinforce our ability to deliver the superior client service that Willans is known for - prompt, clear, commercially sound and practical legal advice."

The firm has also announced three senior-level promotions.

Sophie Martyn becomes associate solicitor in the corporate and commercial team, with partner Chris Wills becoming head of department.

In the wills, probate and trusts team, Rachel Sugden becomes associate solicitor.

Bridget continued; "I'm pleased that Chris, Sophie and Rachel are receiving well-deserved recognition for their talent and hard work.

"The promotions reflect our over-arching strategy of providing first-class legal services for clients across all key practice areas, as well as recognising and nurturing talent from within."

Willans LLP acts for commercial businesses, individuals, charities and not-for-profit organisations based locally, nationally and internationally, and employs around 80 people across multiple offices in Imperial Square, Cheltenham.
