A further 44 new homes could be built on the site of the former Contract Chemicals site on Gloucester's Bristol Road if plans are approved by the city council.
Developer Matthew Homes Ltd have submitted plans to develop a third parcel of land on the site and add 14 houses and four blocks containing 30 flats on the site.
Previous approved applications allow for the building of 258 houses, more than 1.6 hectares of public open space and vehicle access from Bristol Road and Tuffley Crescent.
The first phase was on the St Gobain and Wellman Graham Industrial sites with the second taking place on the former Contract Chemicals site.
Land for business use and non-residential buildings were also included in the first two planning applications, the third seeks to occupy the final section of the site that is not yet developed.
According to planning documents: "The site occupies the north western part of the former Contract Chemicals works, which has since undergone clearance and remedial work.
"The land is currently being used as part of the wider development's construction site."
The application adds: "Approval is sought for the erection of 44 dwellings, comprising of 14 houses and 30 flats, together with associated parking and landscaping.
"The scheme comprises a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom dwellings.
"The proposal presents the opportunity to create an attractive housing development representing a logical extension to the existing form of development.
"This would result in the provision of 44 units, which would make a meaningful contribution towards the overall housing need in Gloucester."
