Appeal for witnesses after hit and run in Cheltenham

Gloucestershire police officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision which took place in Cheltenham earlier this month and saw the driver leave the scene.

Police received a reported that a woman was walking along London Road at around 2.25pm on February 12 when a white large boxer van mounted the pavement and struck her to the chest causing a number of injuries.

The driver of the van did not stop at the scene, however the casing from the offside wing mirror was left behind.

The victim was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital where she received treatment for a broken bone.

Investigating officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and has information or knows who the driver of the van is to come forward.
